WELL-BEHAVED FAQ's
Well-Behaved Animal Behavior Consultants is a company that specializes in animal training & behavior. We work with both dog owners and zoological facilities to create personalized training plans and help owners and facilities achieve their goals.
At Well-Behaved, we provide a variety of services such as dog training, behavior consultations, and personalized training plans. Each service is customized to meet the unique needs of your dog and your family.
We are mainly based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. However, we offer consultations and training services across the UAE. Some services, such as the Separation Anxiety Programs, are done entirely online and worldwide as well.
Our approach to dog training is science-based, force-free, and fear-free. We emphasize trust, positive reinforcement, and a deep understanding of animal behavior. Our goal is to create stress-free training experiences that enhance the bond and communication between you and your dog.
We work with dogs of all breeds, ages, and backgrounds. Whether you have a puppy in need of early training, an adult dog with behavioral concerns, or a rescue needing confidence-building, we can help!
We offer training in the following settings:
Your home, for personalized sessions tailored to your dog’s own environment.
Outdoor parks and real-life settings, to help your dog generalize behaviors across different scenarios.
Simply contact us to book a consultation! We’ll assess your dog’s needs, discuss your goals, and recommend a personalized training plan.
Yes! We offer virtual consultations for dog owners who need guidance but may not be able to attend in-person sessions. Online training is great for behavior advice, training plans, and problem-solving.
The best time to start training your dog is as soon as you bring your dog home—whether it's a puppy or an adult dog. Early training helps build good habits, confidence, and trust from the start.
But training can start at any age! As we always say : it is never too early, and it is never too late!
Training your dog is a lifelong process because behavior is constantly changing and evolving.
Every interaction you have with your dog is considered a training session, as they are constantly receiving information from you.
This means you are actually training your dog most of the day—often without even realizing it!
Our goal is to guide you, helping you understand how behavior works and providing you with the steps to support your dog. Some people complete one package and feel confident enough to continue on their own, while others prefer ongoing training sessions. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide what works best for you and your dog.
Yes, we recommend that you are present during the training sessions. Our goal is to teach you how to train your dog, so ideally, you'll be the one doing the training. While we'll come to your place for sessions, your dog is with you 24/7.
It's important that you understand their body language, reinforce their behaviors with proper timing, and have a deep understanding of your dog's unique needs. This way, you’ll be equipped to continue supporting your dog’s progress long after our sessions.
Absolutely! Training shouldn't wait until a problem arises. Being proactive with training helps prevent issues and ensures your dog has positive experiences from the start.
The Separation Anxiety Program is offered online because our presence in your home would disrupt your dog's routine. You'll record your sessions, and we'll review them daily to provide a new training plan for the next day. It requires time and consistency, but the results are well worth the effort.
We can't emphasize enough how important husbandry training is.
Husbandry and medical training help dogs get comfortable with daily care routines such as: body checks, vet procedures and grooming in a stress-free way.
Instead of forcing a dog into uncomfortable situations, we teach them to participate willingly during these tasks.
It makes such a massive impact on their mental wellbeing when they are not exposed to such levels of stress.
Training is not just for "problems"—it’s a great way to build a strong bond with your dog and provide mental stimulation. Whether you want to teach your dog something fun, work on a specific behavior, or prevent future behavioral issues, we can design a training plan that suits your goals.
