At Well Behaved, our in-home dog care service goes far beyond dog sitting.
Following the L.E.G.S.® model, we consider the Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self of each individual dog to provide a customized, welfare-first approach while you're away. Our experienced team doesn't simply “watch” your dog—we work with them, respecting their emotional needs, routines, and individuality.

By coming to your home, we minimize disruption and stress, allowing your dog to remain in a familiar, secure environment. Through positive reinforcement and thoughtful observation, we help maintain your dog’s well-being, prevent behavioral regressions, and support any ongoing training goals.
Your dog’s physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are at the center of everything we do. Whether it’s maintaining structured enrichment, providing low-stress companionship, or simply ensuring they feel safe and seen, our care is intentional, ethical, and deeply attuned to the animal's perspective.
Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just need an extra hand, we offer your dogs the consistency and attention they need.
BENEFITS OF OUR HOME STAYS
Attention to Details
We understand dog behavior from the inside out. Our team is trained in reading their body language and understand their communication, ensuring each visit supports—not stresses—your dog.
Subtle signs of discomfort, boredom, or anxiety aren’t missed; we take proactive steps to help minimize their impact and keep your dog comfortable.
Direct Support from Certified Behavior Consultants
Every in-home care plan is supported by our behavior consultants, Anna and Enric, who ensure each dog's needs are fully understood and addressed. If your dog is working through behavior challenges or has a sensitive history, you're in experienced, qualified hands.

Consistent and Trustworthy
Our team provides consistent, familiar faces, allowing your dog to build trust, predictability, and a real relationship with the same caregiver(s).
This minimizes the stress of new people entering their space and promots emotional safety over time.
Enrichment Plans
We provide more than food and walks; we incorporate play, calm companionship, sensory activities, and when appropriate, support for ongoing training.
Every activity is designed to support your dog’s needs and keep them engaged, balanced and happy.
Minimal Stress, Maximum Comfort
By caring for dogs in their own homes, we preserve their routines, familiar scents, and safe spaces. This reduces stress and promotes a sense of continuity while you’re away—ideal for sensitive, elderly, or behaviorally complex dogs.

Individualized Care
We adapt our care to the dog in front of us. Breed tendencies, medical needs, past experiences, and current training goals all are taken into consideration in how we approach your dog’s care. There’s no “one size fits all”—only thoughtful, responsive support.

Ethical Practice
Everything we do is grounded in positive reinforcement, trust-building, and relationship-based care. We firmly reject all aversive, forceful, or outdated methods, prioritizing your dog’s comfort and cooperation.
Peace of Mind for You
We know how hard it is to leave your dog. You’ll receive clear communication, thoughtful updates, and the assurance that your dog is in compassionate, competent hands. You can travel with peace of mind, knowing your dog is our priority.
HOW OUR PROCESS WORKS
STEP 1: Initial Inquiry
Reach out to us through our contact form, email or WhatsApp. We’ll schedule a short call to understand your dog’s basic needs, your travel plans, and whether our service is the right fit.
Step 2: Behavior Assessment
Next, we arrange a detailed consultation—either in person or via video call—with one of our behavior consultants (Anna or Enric). This allows us to get to know your dog’s personality, routines, emotional needs, history, environment, and any training or health considerations.
We build a care plan based on the L.E.G.S.® model to ensure an individualized, science-backed approach.
Step 3: Meet & Bond – Building Trust Gradually
We know that trust takes time, especially for dogs who are sensitive, anxious, or new to having someone in their home. That’s why we don’t limit the introduction to a single visit.
Before your departure, we schedule one or more introductory sessions, depending on your dog’s needs. These allow your dog to gradually become familiar with the caregiver(s) who will be visiting, in a calm and respectful way. We move at your dog’s pace, ensuring they feel comfortable and safe with their new human companion.
Because we never outsource, your dog will always interact with the same consistent person or small team, which fosters trust, predictability, and emotional security. This relationship-focused step helps prevent stress and sets your dog up for a confident, positive experience while you're away.
Step 4: Daily In-Home Visits Begin
While you’re away, our caregiver will follow your dog's customized care plan. This includes:
-
Emotional support
-
Feeding
-
Medication (if needed)
-
Walks and enrichment activities
-
Reinforcement of existing routines or training
All care is delivered in your home, maintaining your dog’s comfort, confidence, and routine.
